Lorraine (Basildon)

Seeking a book club

I am.looking to expand my social circle. I used to be an avid reader and have a love for words. I used to read multiple books and am hoping that a book club will help kick start that love all over again. I'd love to.meet up in a coffee shop, open to most genres. Find military, science fiction.and fantasy harder to get into

Seeking a book club

I love reading, as it makes you use your mind. At the moment, I'm reading Reaper Man (Pratchett. The only author who can make me laugh out loud!), Mother Tongue (Bryson), An Astronauts View of Earth (Hadfield), The Otterbury Incident (C. Day Lewis. Yes, it's a kids book, but I still love it), The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving A F++k (Knight), Black Spirits &White (Adams Cram), Bukowski (Bukowski!), Nothing To Envy (Demick), The Experiments (Todd), The Body (Bryson. Such an interesting book), and I've just started, Not The End Of The World (Ritchie). I've been thinking of joining a book club for ages, so here goes.

teeply (Southend-on-Sea)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi Iโ€™m Thomas and Iโ€™m a long time board gamer and Iโ€™m super excited by TTRPGs. I mostly enjoy story RPGs, OSRs, and traditional RPGs. I GM most (if not all) the time for my group. But Iโ€™ve not played that many TTRPGs as a PC. Iโ€™ve run games of Cyberpunk, Mothership, Slugblaster, Call of Cthulhu, and Heart The City Beneath. While as a PC, Iโ€™ve played Savage Worlds and Pathfinder. I really enjoyed playing. And I love putting games together to share in that enjoyment with others. Iโ€™m looking to play a story RPG if possible, something like Heart The City Beneath or maybe Mythic Bastionland. But Iโ€™m open to anything as enjoy pretty much all TTRPGs.
