I love reading, as it makes you use your mind. At the moment, I'm reading Reaper Man (Pratchett. The only author who can make me laugh out loud!), Mother Tongue (Bryson), An Astronauts View of Earth (Hadfield), The Otterbury Incident (C. Day Lewis. Yes, it's a kids book, but I still love it), The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving A F++k (Knight), Black Spirits &White (Adams Cram), Bukowski (Bukowski!), Nothing To Envy (Demick), The Experiments (Todd), The Body (Bryson. Such an interesting book), and I've just started, Not The End Of The World (Ritchie). I've been thinking of joining a book club for ages, so here goes.

I’m 27 and a new (ish) reader, mostly enjoy reading fantasy but have read a few classics etc. Would love to meet local, similar and chilled out people to make casual plans with! Local to Westcliff and Southend. And would love to have suggestions to diversify my reading! Love animals, food and being active and outdoors!
