Seeking a book club
Hi, I’m Jessica! I’ve recently become a bit book-obsessed 😅 and I’m really enjoying getting back into reading. I tend to love romance books, especially ones with strong characters, a bit of drama, or emotional storylines. I also enjoy cosy, feel-good reads like café-style books when I want something more relaxing. I’m looking to join a book group to interact with like-minded people, share recommendations, and discover new books I wouldn’t usually pick myself. I’d love a relaxed, friendly group where we can chat about books and just enjoy reading together.

I love reading all kinds of genres — psychological thrillers, murder mysteries, and a good old rom-com are definitely my go to, but honestly, I’m up for reading a bit of everything. I’m always looking for new recommendations and love chatting about books with people who are just as into reading. think it’ll be fun to share thoughts, hear different perspectives, and just be part of a community that appreciates a good story!

Would love to find a local book group that meets once a month in a cosy pub/cafe if possible. Live in Barkingside so Chigwell would work or Wanstead. Love to read psychological thrillers - can't find a local group, hoping to hear from fellow bookworms!

Amy
Seeking a book club
Hello, my name is Amy. I am 27 years old and live in the Chigwell/Hainault area. I have always wanted to join a book club. I am happy to meet in a cosy setting such as a café to discuss our group's chosen book. I particularly like horror, gothic, psychological thrillers, literary fiction and the classics. I am open to other genres too.

I'm looking to reignite my love of books with like minded people. I've read everything from classics to trashy science fiction. I'm not very interested in autobiographies, preferring fiction. I'm not particularly looking for a social life outside of a book club, but wouldn't be averse to the occasional night out. I'm 62, married, with 3 grown up children and for the past 20 years I've worked at various jobs in the criminal justice system. Currently part time, in an effort to get a better work-life balance and have time for hobbies again.
