I never really liked reading while in my school years, but once that finished, I started reading and did not stop until I had 100 books read in one year. I enjoy different styles of genres, but tend to stick to fiction. Iām looking forward to meet with groups of people that enjoy storytelling as much as reading.

I'd really like to meet new people in Fareham/Gosport area to discuss books and make friends. It's really hard in your 30's. Don't have social media so don't know how to find any book clubs? An internet search brought me here! I like a variety of genres: rom com, sci fi, fantasy, thriller, etc. Always have two on the go: audiobook and something on kindle. Love going to a bookshop and then for a coffee!

My name is Bob, semi-retired (so not old enough to draw a state pension) and I've always loved books. I like mysteries, biographies, sc-fi, history or anything recommended to me. I've lived overseas in Europe and worked primarily in Aerospace but living full time in the UK now. Need to get out of the house once in a while! :D

Iāve joined two book clubs in the distant past and was rather put off as one group just nattered about anything and the other was intensely structured- I liked neither so am looking for a group who can discuss a book seriously but lightly over tea or coffee or even wine! By the way, if I canāt get into a book- I discard it - so the group would have to be open to how each of us feels and not be disparaging about non reads! I Iām over 70 and read a variety of genres on my Kindle. Novels, historical, WW2 Resistance stories, Autobiographies, sometimes text books for research. Not into crime or thrillers or holiday romance! Iām over 70

Hi, Iām Nicolaābookish and bold, With a TBR pile thatās out of control. I want to join book clubs to feel refined⦠Then loudly judge characters I secretly like. I love a plot twist, a scandal, a curse, And Iāll always pretend Iāve read the whole verse. (But if I didnāt quite finish, Iāll nod and agree, While sipping my tea suspiciouslyā¦) From moody memoirs to sassy romance, If the book has dramaāIāll give it a chance. So if you need laughs, hot takes, or debate, Iām your readerājust try not to be late (Iām always 10 mins behind).

I moved to Hampshire last year and would love to join a local book club. I need to get out of the house more and meet new people and hopefully make some new friends with similar interests. I want to enjoy a book club with a relaxed discussion over a cuppa or glass of wine without the pressure of intense discussion. I just finished reading The Women which I loved but open to reading pretty much anything.
