Tendy
Seeking a book club
A Little About Me Iβm looking to rekindle my passion for reading and reconnect with the joy I used to find in getting lost in a good book. Iβd love to meet other readers who enjoy sharing books, exchanging thoughts and ideas, and having meaningful conversations over a lovely cup of tea. I particularly enjoy romance, murder mysteries, crime, and historical or educational books. Iβm open to discovering new authors and genres too, and Iβm hoping to find a friendly, relaxed group where we can read together, have a good chat, and simply enjoy the experience of being book lovers. Iβm really looking forward to discovering new stories, meeting fellow readers, and hopefully reigniting my love for reading along the way. πββ€οΈ

I love popular science, science fiction, fantasy, and thrillers but I'm happy to read anything if it's interesting and well-written. It would be great to meet some Hook locals and talk about books!

Seeking a book club
I like fiction and non- fiction, poetry, literature and drama. I tutor English literature and language but try to push myself to read new authors and genres as well as my favourites. These include Hilary Mantel, John Irving and Steinbeck, Benjamin Myers, WG Sebald, Sickens, Auden, Armitage...in fact any writer that writes well. Currently on the reading pile is Francis Spurford, Michael Igniateff and right now, bought today, John Lewis Stempel's , ' England, a natural history. ' I'd like to share my enthusiasm for places visited and explore new places with readers of whatever interest and persuasion. I work in local Government building social housing, follow politics and current affairs and have a sizeable library in my garden office, acquired when the pandemic changed our working life routines for ever.
