I moved to Andover a few years ago and would really like to make some friends with similar interests. I’m 26. I am an avid reader - whether it’s physical or auditory. I love books that make you think, analyse, and delve deeper. I’m not strict on a genre - I love the classics, dystopian, fantasy, science fiction, political fiction, gothic literature. I’m looking to join a book club to discuss books, have bubbles, drink wine, and most importantly make friends and join a community!

I am mostly at home now, age 60. My children are grown-up and have their own homes. I love garden design & nature. I help out in local gardens for a hobby. My name is Jan Walton and I live in Andover Hampshire with my husband and Westie dog called Millie. I love reading and get through a lot of books! I like most genres but am now finding it harder to find good interesting books that I can get my teeth into! I like to lose myself in a book especially if it has a good storyline that keeps my attention. I have been known to read well into the night because I can’t put the book down! I am recently retired after running my own business for over 40 years and am looking for like minded people to share my passion. A book group sounds ideal! I love a good book, or at least I used to! Between looking for new horizons and ways to meet new people with shared interests and a hope of re-discovering a lost love, I'm hoping to find a book club near me to join. Andover or Whitchurch perhaps, but I'd need to know where and when they meet, and as I work full-time, I'm hoping there's an evening based club available somewhere please?

Gosh, I wouldn't know where to begin in describing myself, I like to have a good discussion on various topics of interest. I love to read either sci-fi fantasy novels, or ww2 survival stories, I have a heartfelt interest as my grandfather fought during the war, and my grandmother was in the land army.
