Rochford and Castle Point Ramblers is a walking group that organises led walks every Tuesday morning from 10:00, with occasional walks at weekends. Routes are usually 5 to 8 miles and take in Rochford and Castle Point, much of South Essex, and sometimes parts of London and Kent. Walks are planned to end around 1:00pm and include a mid-walk break for coffee, with a pub meal sometimes arranged afterwards.

The Basildon Greenway Group is a local branch of the Ramblers Association covering the Basildon, Billericay and Wickford areas of Essex. It arranges short Tuesday morning walks of around 5 to 6 miles, as well as occasional longer Tuesday and Sunday walks of about 9 to 12 miles, usually with a pub stop at lunchtime. Walks are led by local volunteers and normally start at 10am or soon after.
