Seeking a book club

So, there seems to be a proliferation of people looking to join clubs (myself included) near to me, with a distinct lack of options. With this in mind I’m considering (underlined, in bold AND italics) starting one. I’ll list my preferences below and if anyone is genuinely interested please feel free to contact me via this site. Once I gauge interest I’ll consider (underlined, in bold AND italics) whether or not to bite the bullet and actually set one up. Feel free to include your preferences in any replies. My preferences: Once a month. In person. In a public place. Contemporary fiction (although open to ALL suggestions on any subjects). Round Robin of book selection. Book selector chairs the discussion at meeting. Errrr… can’t think of anything else at present. So please feel free to contact me via this site. My first reply will include my email address. Lastly, I can assure you all that I’m not a lunatic (and yes, I know that’s what a lunatic would say but what’s a guy supposed to do??).

A rollicking historical romp of betrayal, revenge and regret. What’s not to love?

It is emotional, traumatic and made me feel my feelings. I was up reading this until 3am every night.

I’m drawn to darker, offbeat literary fiction — the kind of books that are a little strange, psychologically intense, or stylistically ambitious. I love stories that spark discussion and sit with you long after you’ve finished them. I’m not a literary expert by any means, but I’d really like to develop a more critical eye and dig deeper into what makes a book work. Mostly, I’m hoping to find thoughtful, like-minded people who enjoy both good conversation and the social side of reading.

Gaming group

There are three of us looking to find a group to play D&D. My partner (30M) and myself (26F) would love to get started i just don't know how. My cousin (26F) has played once before but her group fell apart. We would all love to be part of a regular group.

Seeking a book club

Hi! I love reading - fantasy and chic lit are among my favourites along with crime novels. At the moment I'm working my way through a backlog including The Serpent And The Wings Of Night, Dire Bound and How to Lose a Lord in Ten Days. I'd love to meet people who share my love of a good book!

This is a collection of seemingly unconnected short stories, but is soon becomes apparent that characters pop up throughout and the way they are connected does not become clear until the end.

I really enjoy story-driven play, exploration, and groups that collaborate and build the world together. I’m reliable, easygoing, and love getting into character. I paint miniatures and have too many to count. I’ve played and DMed a fair bit of D&D plus other systems, and I’m looking to get more confident with online tools while having some fun. Also up for offline games - Fridays or Saturdays from 6pm GMT work great for me. Would love to join if there’s a spot open!
