James (Weston-super-Mare)

Seeking a book club

Love fantasy and sci-fi. My favourites are probably Brandon Sanderson s works and the red rising series. I'm currently working my way through the wheel of time series

Connor (Bath)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi! I'm 30 years old, based in Paulton. I've recently finished a Master's course and am starting a new job, so I'm looking for a local, offline D&D group to join on evenings and/or weekends. I do not drive, so I rely on public transport and walking. I'm fairly experienced with 5e 2014 but keen to try 2024. I prefer mechanically simpler classes, like Fighters and Rogues, as I can occasionally be a bit slow with combat. I enjoy fun and goofy RP and adventures, but also like dramatic or more serious stuff too. Overall, I'm just interested in meeting new people and making friends!

Shiraz (Bridgwater)

Seeking a book club

Fairly new to the Somerset area. Recently I have visited Portugal and started up reading whilst on holiday. I enjoyed myself so much reading and love to read books which you can’t put down & loose yourself in. It is very relaxing reading,

Nicki (Yeovil)

Seeking a book club

I’m thinking of setting up a (Retro) Crime Book Club in Yeovil. It’s only an idea at the moment to see if there’s any interest. Several people have said to me this is the particular genre they enjoy and they don’t like other groups where anything at all can be selected to read. I’m a published author of murder mysteries and would love to be able to set up my own group.

Neve (Bridgwater)

Seeking a gaming group

Currently obsessed with Baldur's Gate 3 and am dying to play a real life campaign. Have done a couple novice, low-stakes one-shots but would love to take part in a really beefy, well-developed campaign and meet people while I do. Based in Bridgwater but am willing to travel if needed depending on location/how often.

Jack (Weston-super-Mare)

Seeking a book club

I am twenty-five years old. I prefer to read comics, generally, although I wouldn't consider myself a fan of superheroes; my favourite comic is Watchmen. I'm trying to read traditional novels again since I own a collection of classic novels I've wanted to read for a while, specifically the works of Hermann Hesse. I also take an interest in dark or psychological literature such as Woom and Katabasis, the former of which I recently read, the latter of which I plan to. I'm an aspiring writer, too. I had planned to write my own comic series but, due to a lack of artist talent, fear it may never get off the ground. I would write traditionally if I was able but I have significant trouble with descriptions. Writing comics has allowed me to structure my scenes without interrupting the flow of the story as I would if I was writing a traditional novel. I consider myself eloquent, so writing is a medium I could see myself suited for.

I like fictional crime, classics, general fiction but not too romancy or sci-fi. I am a lifelong booklover looking to join a local club.

Sian (Clevedon)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi, I'm relatively new to the area and looking to hang out with some new people. I've played a couple of RPGs ages ago but not specifically DnD (no DM experience). I'm early 30s, don't mind online games but would prefer in-person somewhere near Clevedon/Yatton/Nailsea or Portishead/Portbury. Don't mind which day it is, fortnightly has always worked best for flexibility but totally open to other schedules.

Adam (Yeovil)

Seeking a gaming group

Looking for a DnD group to join. I'm still relatively new but I know what I'm doing, just trying to find a group to adventure with more regularly. Any genre games really, normally played custom character rather than pre-builds but happy to give whatever a go.

Cheddar Sci-Fi and Fantasy (Cheddar)

Book club

I am starting a new book club in Cheddar that focuses primarily on sci-fi and fantasy novels. The plan is to meet once a month and discuss a novel we've all read over a drink or two. A nice opportunity to meet new people and discuss our shared interest in a relaxed and friendly environment. I would love to hear from anyone interested :)
