Emily (Durham)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi. I am looking to join a group that plays one of the following: Dungeons and Dragons (version 3.5), Star Wars RPG published by Wizards of the Coast (from around 2008/2012), World of Darkness: Werewolf (from around the same time), or the original version of The One Ring (LOTR/Hobbit) rpg published around 2014. It has been a while since I played a table top rpg, but I enjoyed playing DnD, and Star Wars while at uni in 2008/2011, and I have (some) but not all of the guide books for these games.

The Chats & Chapter Club (Bishop Auckland)

Book club

The Chat & Chapter Club is a relaxed book club for people who love a good read, a good glass of wine, and even better conversation. We enjoy diving into books and sharing thoughts, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously — discussions naturally wander from plot twists to life updates, recommendations, and a bit of friendly waffle. There’s no pressure to be an academic or finish every page; it’s about enjoying stories, company, and a welcoming space where books spark conversation and wine keeps things flowing.

Nigel B (Darlington)

Gaming group

Looking for potential other groups to play with as well as my existing ones. I'm a long time RPG player & experienced DM in several mixed-age groups over the years (ranging in age from 20s up to 60s like me). Nowadays we mostly play 3.5 & 5e D&D and Call of Cthulhu, but with a bit of Pathfinder and other alternative systems mixed in. I'm currently in two hybrid groups playing regularly on midweek evenings with the occasional one off at weekends. Sometimes it is all online, but mostly we try for face to face sessions with perhaps one or two online players who live quite a distance away. I'm willing and able to host at home or happy to travel any reasonable distance to play. I'm retired so have no restrictions on time.

Kayleigh Anne (Chester-le-Street)

Seeking a book club

I’m an enthusiastic reader with a love for a wide range of genres, though I’m especially drawn to historical books (both fiction and non-fiction), thrillers, true crime, and dystopian fiction. I enjoy books that explore human behaviour, moral choices, and the social forces that shape our lives. My all-time favourite book is The Choice by Edith Eger — a powerful and deeply human story that continues to stay with me. I’m looking forward to connecting with others who enjoy thoughtful discussion and discovering new books along the way.

Barnetto (Seaham)

Seeking a book club

I’m Andrew, a UK-based reader who gravitates toward sci‑fi and fantasy with strong world‑building, clever systems, and a bit of oddness. I love stories that reward paying attention — the kind where you can dig into how things work, why characters make the choices they do, and what the setting is really saying beneath the surface. I’m looking for a relaxed, curious book club that enjoys thoughtful discussion without getting overly serious. This is supposed to be fun after all.

It's a unique blend of cosmic horror and office politics that I haven't found anywhere else.
