I’m an enthusiastic reader with a love for a wide range of genres, though I’m especially drawn to historical books (both fiction and non-fiction), thrillers, true crime, and dystopian fiction. I enjoy books that explore human behaviour, moral choices, and the social forces that shape our lives. My all-time favourite book is The Choice by Edith Eger — a powerful and deeply human story that continues to stay with me. I’m looking forward to connecting with others who enjoy thoughtful discussion and discovering new books along the way.

I am focusing on reading more frequently, and lately I have enjoyed Willa Cather's pioneer novels, Jünger's 'Eumeswil', Dick's 'The Man in the High Castle'. So there's a bit of variety there. Classic English novelists are also important to me, so, Dickens, Brontë, Austen, Stevenson, etc. I'm not really into Fantasy, but Science Fiction is of interest. On my current reading pile is more Cather, and Colette, Camus, Mann ... and lots of poetry ... It would be nice to talk to people with similar reading interests.

Seeking a gaming group
After diving head first into the world of dnd this year and becoming a defacto dm for my kids, I would like to try my hand at playing at a real table. I work a 12 hour/3 days a week shift pattern and may not be available on the same day each week but will always have free time to schedule in. Pretty new to role-playing but I don't mind playing a character that slots into a given party.

Experience playing 5e and DMing 5e more than happy to fill either roll. I make a bit of homebrew stuff and enjoy creating. Definitely prefer in person games but online is also okay. Completely down for any ttrpg however would be a complete noob outside 5e.
