My partner (31 NB) and I (31 F) are looking to join a local D&D group. This is starting to sound like a poor dating profile, but bear with us. We have no prior experience, other than one solo session that we got roped into (and rather enjoyed). We’d like to explore the world of D&D with likeminded individuals, who want a good story, but also a few laughs. Ideally, we’d like to stay local in Darlington, however close surrounding areas are fine too. Sundays would also be preferable. We would love to meet up and grab a coffee to get to know one another. For common ground, we’re gamers, cat lovers and easy-going. One of us hit 30 and turned into an avid bird watcher, and the other makes being an 80 year old grandma their personality. I’ll let you guess who.

But due to health issues , work commitments & relocating from west midlands to NE lost touch with Gaming. have a large amount of games( most from 80s & 90s and happy to DM. Potential relocation looking for dungeons and dragons games 41 M loved table top games for years used to play Mordhiem and Necromunda and Warhammer Fantasty in my youth , ive played D&D in person and loved the social roleplay elements and the combat side a few years ago in person for about 6 months till work commitments put an end to it im looking at what is running, id like to DM eventually but looking to play. I love making terrain and as we are planning on relocating- i thought id get the important stuff sorted first! Any local clubs or groups in and around Barnard Castle, id ve willing to drive 30 min and when relocation is complete would eventually host once settled

My partner (41m) and I (39f) are looking for a new DnD group - to start or to join - and make friends. We've just finished a 3 year campaign, which my partner GMed. He would like to be a player but wouldn't mind GMing again. For a short campaign or one-shot I would also like to try my hand as a GM sometime. We would be looking to play in person Sundays or Friday evenings, ideally on a weekly-ish basis, but schedules can get stupid busy, so happy to do fortnightly or even once per month. We have played Call of Cthulu and DnD 5e with freely available sources (core rulebooks), but are happy to explore other High Fantasy systems. As we are based in Darlington, we would ideally be looking for fellow adventurers in Darlington or around a 20ish minute drive away. We're always happy to host, but are equally open to taking turns, or to regularly venture out to other places if that is a requirement (eg if there are access needs that have to be accommodated, or if someone has pets that can't be left alone, etc.). From experience it's always good to meet for coffee or something for a general vibe and expectation check before committing to anything longer term (worse than dating, I know, but it's honestly better to have a chat about what is expected of the game and how it's been approached in the past, and potentially realising that expectations don't align before jumping in and being really disappointed).
