Seeking a book club

Iโ€™m Katy, 32 years old and love reading thriller/crime books, although Iโ€™m open to reading other books (currently reading The Midnight Library). My favourite author is Freida McFadden. Iโ€™d love to join a book club local to Ashford, happy to drive out to nearby towns and meet like minded people and be able to chat about books!

Book reader 78 (Sittingbourne)

Seeking a book club

I've just moved from Suffolk to Sittingbourne. In Suffolk I belonged to a book group for a few years. We chose a book a month and read fiction, non fiction, all different genres were generally covered. I love reading books that I wouldn't necessarily have chosen. I made some good friends, another good reason to join a book group as I don't know anyone here outside of my family.

It's quite incredible that this was written by a man, mainly about women, in 1893. There are great characters navigating a time when women who were not married had very difficult lives. I will read it more than once as there is so much to absorb.
Prophet Song

This book is set in Ireland in future times. It's a story with a family at the centre. It is a harrowing story, and though set in the future feels so current. It scared me and educated me at the same time.

Seeking a book club

Hi! Iโ€™m 22F, I used to be an avid reader but as an adult Iโ€™ve abandoned this hobby a little. Iโ€™d love to meet and chat to others and make bookish friends! Iโ€™ve mainly read classics and translated works but now would love a gripping story of any genre to get me back into reading more :))

Phoebe.E (Canterbury)

Seeking a book club

I am starting to get back into reading. I have dyslexia so have always struggled with reading but as I have gotten older I have got a lot better at it. I really enjoy Sci-Fi, Fantesy and Urben Fantasy. I am really interested in connecting with people who have a similar taste in Genres. I am 26. The town I live in isn't an option on here so I will just put the one closes
