It's a book about survival from slavery and abuse but is uplifted by humour and sheer humanity.

Dan (Ashford (Kent))

Seeking a gaming group

Completly new to D&D and most TTRPG, never played a game of D&D but it's always intersted me. I'm easy going, quick learner, free weekday evenings. Love horror films, anime, fantasy etc. Basically I'm mid 30's, married, no friends outside of work and single player PC games just isn't cutting it for me. I wanna find new friends who I can be myself with and have a good time.

Honey18 (Gillingham (Kent))

Seeking a book club

Name is honey, age 18, I like reading dark romances, romantic comedies, want to get into fantasy as well (I have a few, just haven’t read them yet), want to make a few friends too, talk about my books with others.

The characters, the different personalities in each character, the plot twists, and much more
Haunting Adeline series

I love this book, the setting it’s in, the build up, this book is a dark romance yet shows love on a deeper level and doesn’t show just the lovey-dicey sides of love, shows how people can survive anything in life and be a greater version of themselves

Clare (Orpington)

Seeking a book club

I am a working Mum, aged 45 and love reading and making friends so think it'd be great to try a book group. I read a lot of contemporary fiction, really like Rachel Kushner, Iain Banks, Barbara Kingsolver are a few examples, I also read a fair bit of non fiction.

This was absolutely brilliant dystopian fiction of a future scarily perhaps not too distant....

I love all of her book but this is my favourite. The way she writes about romance, love, loss and finding yourself. Her descriptions of the beautiful places around the world.

James (Canterbury)

Gaming group

I am a player in my mid-thirties in Canterbury, looking to join or help form a local, in-person tabletop RPG group. While I've played regularly online, I am keen to find a consistent group for in-person sessions. I enjoy being both a GM and a player. I particularly enjoy the explorative focus of OSR games but am happy to explore other systems. For me, the story and shared adventure are more important than optimising character builds. My experience includes GMing: Troika, Dolmenwood, Mörk Borg, and Cairn. Playing: Brindlewood Bay, Mothership, Pendragon, Troika, Mörk Borg, and various OSR one-shots. My ideal group would be inclusive, friendly, and focused on having a good time. If you're looking for a relaxed and reliable new player, please get in touch.
