Marylou (Hailsham)

Seeking a book club

Hello I’m 18, I adore reading, particularly historical fantasy whether it be mythological retellings or built up entirely in an author’s own mind. But I’m open to any genre, even non fiction if it is centred towards the ancient world. I’m just looking for fellow readers that would like to discuss their thoughts and opinions, or simply gush over their favourite book of the month.

Macy (Bexhill-on-Sea)

Seeking a book club

Hi! I’m Macy. I’m 20 years old and I’d love some friends to get some drinks and discuss a good book with. I love high fantasy. My favourite authors are probably Brandon Sanderson and James Islington. My favourite book is The Will of The Many and my favourites series is the Mistborn Trilogy. I’m also keen on romance books or romantasy 💗

Macy recommends:

The Will Of The Many by James Islington
The Will Of The Many

It’s got such an intricate power system and the character development is insane. It is so complex and full of action.

Julija (Eastbourne)

Seeking a book club

I’m an avid reader with a particular love for character‑driven fiction and thoughtful non‑fiction that challenges how I see the world. Books have always been my way of unwinding, learning, and connecting with new perspectives. I enjoy discovering emerging authors, revisiting modern classics, and sharing reflections with others who appreciate meaningful discussion. Would love join a book club to broaden my reading horizons, hear diverse interpretations, and contribute to engaging conversations. I’m especially drawn to stories that explore human behaviour, resilience, and identity, and I’m excited to connect with fellow readers who enjoy discussion and new recommendations.

Marcel (Brighton)

Seeking a gaming group

Hello. I'm a serious D&D player. Currently looking for a party to enjoy some quality time together and get back into the Hobby. I have approximately 4 years of experience playing D&D as a player and 2 years being a Dungeon master. Currently I'm looking forward to be a player in the new found campaign. I'm a flexible person when it comes to availability and don't mind in person or online sessions. (I am yet to experience a IN PERSON D&D EXPERIENCE). Additional information- I own multiple resources online-specifically on D&D Beyond which I could share with the party.

Shan (Robertsbridge)

Seeking a book club

I am retired and live in the countryside between Robertsbridge and Burwash. I have always loved reading and took a degree in Comparative Literature, as a mature student. I particularly enjoy modern gothic literature and psychological thrillers. I would welcome the chance to read and discuss books with like-minded people.

Shan recommends:

Dr. Haggard’s Disease
by Patrick McGrath | Learn more and buy
A doomed love story, set at the beginning of WWII, which is somehow reminiscent of Graham Greene’s ‘The End of the Affair.’ However it features a thoroughly unreliable narrator and many classic tropes of gothic literature, plus a truly ghastly ending.
