Meg

Seeking a book club

Hey, Iโ€™m 26 and mainly here to meet new people who love books as much as Iโ€™m starting to. Iโ€™ve recently got back into reading and canโ€™t get enough of crime and romance stories. Just finished Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson and honestly thought it was amazing. Always on the lookout for new recommendations and good chats about all things books!

Alice

Seeking a book club

Hi! Iโ€™m Alice, recent Psychology graduate from the University of Chichester. I love psychological thrillers, crime, historical fiction - Iโ€™ll give any book a go (not a big fan of romances though)! I get through books like lightning and would love to meet people who love reading just as much as I do ๐Ÿ˜Š

Alice recommends:

1984 by George Orwell

Very stereotypical favourite for a Psychology student but I just LOVE this book - dystopian novel way beyond itโ€™s time.
The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton

Historical fantasy with complex characters and an interesting peek into the lives of marginalised people in the 1600s.
Sleeping Beauties
by Stephen King and Owen King | Learn more and buy
Really fascinating dystopia novel that speaks volumes about the way women are viewed in society and what a world without women would entail.

William

Seeking a gaming group

Hi, I'm looking for a Blades in the Dark game, in person somewhere between Peacehaven and Seaford (Newhaven is ideal but I know that might not be possible). I've got experience GMing BitD and I'm happy to GM again, for an experienced group or newbies, though if someone else wishes to GM I'm more than happy to be a player. My only available day is Wednesday, from around 7pm. For those unfamiliar with BitD, it's an RPG about running a criminal gang in a haunted city full of ghosts and semi-magical technology. The game uses d6s only and there's very little, if any, number crunching. Let me know if you're interested and if we have a group of people we can figure something out.
