I'm an easy going and relaxed - soon to be fifty - Scottish gentleman who sees having a book to read and then discussing it with others as a perfect opportunity to rekindle my previous love of reading in general. I'm hoping to socialise and meet new friends through reading in a book club or small group. I particularly enjoy, but am not limited to, historical books, non-fiction, biographies and autobiographies. I'm open to try reading more fiction.

I am a 30 year old woman. Looking to meet new friends. I have lived around Rossendale for almost 8 years but don’t have many friends outside of work that live in this area. I love reading. It’s my form of self care and love getting lost in a psychological thriller or a Romance novel. My favourite authors this year have been Frieda McFadden and Colleen Hoover. I have read 3 books by each of these authors in the last 6 months. As well as enjoying other novels too, I have also read a James Paterson book recently, who until I discovered McFadden and Hoover earlier this year, was my favourite and I could never resist picking up his books during my supermarket weekly shops.

It keeps you thinking all the way through. You are questioning all of the characters and analysing everything trying to find an answer of what is going on. It even makes you question the protagonist of the book. I found it difficult to put this book down! I was so interested and intrigued.
