Really like d&d, have played a little and am most familiar with 5e. Not overly experienced and have never done dming before but would love to join a group or even just chat to people who are also into d&d and other nerdy things!! Want to play and host games in Burnley and Rawtenstall area and hope to run games from my home as well as other locations. Hi! I've just taken early retirement and am getting back into GMing role playing games after 25 years of work getting in the way (think Middle Earth crossed with Westeros for a sense of the 'feel'). I'm starting up a group and have the first player but still have seats available; the game will likely be on a Tuesday evening, the location will be a gaming shop in Colne. The game will be suitable for both beginners and experienced players; I want to keep the group smallish (4 players) so everyone gets the most out of their time at the table. The game system will be Rolemaster rules but will likely feature D&D modules as part of the overall experience. LHi, I’m based in Burnley. I’m new to D&D and tabletop games in general, and I’m looking for a beginner-friendly group. I’m queer, so I’m specifically looking for an LGBTQ+-friendly / inclusive group where I’ll be comfortable. In D&D, I’d love to try a Paladin character who is actually very cowardly. He doesn’t use weapons — only a shield. He’s scared most of the time, but he has a big heart and wants to protect his friends. I’m also open to learning other tabletop or card games.

I'm mostly intended to find discussion partners on any topics that would improve my English language skills. I would like to hear suggestions, then we read and discuss our points of view. Humans are wonderful beings with so different understanding of things around! Is it possible to come to consensus as a whole while disagreeing on parts? Over time the perception of things may change, I'm at an older side now. :)
