I like reading and then talking to others about the books I read, and listening to what they say about the books they read. It makes the whole reading experience so much more enjoyable.

My taste is eclectic. I normally read books that have been recommended. I am not that keen on war stories.

I love reading, at the moment I'm reading The Hallmarked Man, I'm a big fan of this series. I've read all the Inspector Linley books, but I also like feel good books with lovely endings, I'm not a big fan of science fiction. I would like to join a group to share views and opinions on books, as it's often really interesting how different people interpret books and take something different from a story. I would also like to make some new like minded friends.

Love reading! Classics or modern, fiction and non-fiction. I like feel good holiday books and I read a lot of yoga, yoga philosophy and wellness books. Jane Austen is a favourite and I also enjoy reading the Before the Coffee Gets Cold series by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. Looking for a friendly book club or simply meeting up for a coffee and book-chat!

Oakmere Library Chatterbooks Group 2014-15

Book club

Hertfordshire libraries provide up to 15 Chatterbooks reading groups for kids aged 8 to 12 each year. The groups, led by library staff, gather at Oakmere Library once a month for an hour. Participation is free and limited to give every child a chance to attend; however, membership of the group is limited to one academic year, and the location of the group rotates annually. Focusing on promoting a love of reading, sessions may involve previewing new books, choosing titles for the library, meeting authors and more.
