Seeking a book club

Hello, I am jeff aged 57 I have found reading difficult since my school days. I lack the confidence to read aloud and wish this to change. I am looking for a entry level club that read in turns possibly a page or paragraphs at a time. Not totally sure how the clubs works and would be very interested in finding out more and joining a club in next couple of weeks.

Dissemination of knowledge

Book club

We are born with the faculty to wonder, to comprehend everything and nothing, and to pursue wisdom. Some wonder still and see the world in awe, very curious, fascinated by everything, trying to understand an ever-changing world and its infinite spectrum. For others, the world is nothing but a habit. The former is us, the curious ones, looking and thinking, above and beyond. And the latter are in chains, beings of habit, lacking curiosity and the faculty to wonder. Reading, books, philosophy, sciences, social and natural, history and all will make you, and even the beings of habit, wonder again.

Seeking a book club

The pursuit of wisdom gives meaning to one's life. I love reading books. Reading ignites ideas in one's mind. It gives you the vision, and intellect, to understand and change the world. I would love to get in touch with book-loving pursuers of wisdom to exchange thoughts and ideas with. I am interested in all types of books. However, I prefer, and love, philosophy, history, sociology, marxism, anthropology, law, existentialism, etc.
