Just moved here. Well read and be nice to meet similarly minded people. I live a one minute walk from the library. Favourite authors: Orwell, Steinbeck and Hemingway but more recently - for an author still alive - Kazuo Ishiguro. Retired (copy) writer. Alan

It should be mandatory reading for anyone who thinks Donald Trump is on the side of the good guys.

Kids laughed when I said I'd write a funny book for children. Well they're not laughing now.

Somehow it's thought of as a fluffy book for children, but I don't recall anyone getting tarred and feathered in any of Enid Blyton's oeuvre.

Seeking a book club

As an English teacher I've read a lot of books, but have got into a bit of a rut reading mostly non-fiction, and would like to be put in a position where I have to read something that I wouldn't normally. I do a bit of writing as well and it could help. I also like poetry and running, but not usually at the same time.

Woodland Faun (Bridgend)

Seeking a gaming group

Heyo! My friends online call me Faun! I'm 24, amab and use any pronouns! I've run games in the past but I'd love to get some time as a player in a longer term campaign! I have experience with 5e and baldurs gate 3, I got a little addicted to its amazing storytelling and it's got me craving more again after a few years away from ttrpgs, I'm hoping to make some nerdy friends irl to hang out with and grow together as a party! I'm flexible when it comes to the type of game or setting, I absolutely love making characters that fit the world DMs have in mind, I struggle quite badly with a panic disorder and I hope this could be a great step to growing some more resilience! I can't wait to get to know you all!

Seeking a gaming group

I'm an educator and researcher at a local university, and when I'm not working, or outside camping or hiking, then I'm using playing D&D (or wishing that I was!). I'm a long-time DM and D&D player. I'm currently running a homebrew setting using 5e (2014) rules and am looking for one or two like-minded players to join the game (ages 25-50+). Feel free to get in touch for more details!

This has so much depth and meaning. Since I learned about Mary Shelley and her troubled life I have found the book so moving - it describes her own trauma.
