Annie (Gravesend)

Seeking a book club

Part of my New Year’s resolution was to fall back in love with reading again. I love reading a (physical) book of most genres, from romance to thriller but also love a self-help book at the moment.

I love to read ill give anything a try. I used to belong to a book club that a friend and I set up at my old job but as people left and retired it folded. Really missing it and the companionship.

A tense telling of what it’s like to live in a country where your freedom of thought and speech is curtailed. Not an easy read but one that can be discussed on many levels

Pau98 (Rochester)

Seeking a book club

Hi all! I love reading but struggle to find the time ti read lately. One of my fave things about literature is how it can bring people together and prompt discussions, so I think a book club could be a great idea to get back into reading often. Thanks!

It’s a great crime/thriller book. The plot twist and turns which helps for an engaging read. The writing is descriptive and allows you to engage with the characters.

Rocknerd (Sandwich)

Seeking a gaming group

The last time I played (a)d&d it was 1994. I am now in my mid 40s and would love to play again. I have never lost interest in Ttrpgs and other tabletop games but as an autistic person it's hard for me to maintain friendships, let alone initiate new ones. That is not to say that I am not friendly of course! I am looking to join a local(ish) group for a campaign of D&D 5e - I am currently wrapping my head around the rules. I am also open to other games. I played an awful lot of Vampire the Masquerade in the 90s and early 2000s and loved that game more than any other, but I also played a lot of Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer FRP, and most recently (15+ years ago that is) Secrets of the 7th Sea. I am also fond of tabletop miniature gaming (blood bowl, necromunda, legions imperialis, etc...). I am also a fossil nerd, cabinet maker, Panzer buff and comic book fanatic... amongst other things 😂

Christine (Canterbury)

Seeking a book club

I love books! Fiction, Biographies, Mysteries, and Histories but I'm open to different genres. I have lived in several countries and so am open to all authors. I've lived in the UK for five years now and it's time to get my nose out of a book and enjoy the lovely benefits of a book club.
