Pamela (Bishop Auckland)

Seeking a book club

Hi, I live in Newton Aycliffe. I enjoy a good book and would be interested to listen to other opinions on books read. Im not a great talker but would just be happy to be in a group where I can listen and perhaps pluck up the courage to contribute at some point. I think an online club would work better for me.

Eden (Consett)

Seeking a book club

Hi, i have recently gotten back into reading and would love to meet like minded people! I'm 28, and my favourite genres are fantasy/romantasy and horror, especially medieval horror

Eden recommends:

The Devils by Joe Abercrombie

This book is amazing - a proper fantasy adventure with dry british humour, brilliant characters, and ideal pacing. The Devils is interesting all the way through; even in during tamer chapters, I didn't want to put it down.

Charlotte (Durham)

Seeking a book club

Usually when I read books, I end up not having anyone to share my thoughts on it with. I think it'd be nice to see others' perpectives for once so we can tell eachother what we thought.

Charlotte recommends:

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

It does the mystery very well! When I re-read the book, I noticed all the details that hinted towards the ending. There were so many plot twists, too. I pulled an all nighter to read it, not only because the book was great, but because I love time loop books.

Ashley (Bishop Auckland)

Seeking a book club

I recently rediscovered my love of reading with crime and mystery novels, and love nothing more than a good โ€˜who done itโ€™ that has you hooked from the start and leaves you guessing until the very end. I also quite like the fantasy/romance genre, and Iโ€™m open to try new books. Iโ€™m looking to meet new people.
