Seeking a book club

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Robyn and I am an 18-year-old living in Berkshire. I have recently been navigating some health challenges that have kept me out of school and left me feeling a bit isolated, but I have a strong passion for reading and would love the opportunity to join your group. Given that I am 18, I would love to find out more about your sessions, availability, and how I might be able to get involved. Thank you so much for your time and for providing such a wonderful community resource. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards Robyn B

I just moved to Windsor and looking to meet new friends. I have always been in a book club or two and as an expat from the US, hope to find a book club to join. Btw, I’m retired.

Anna

Recently moved to Windsor & thought this would be a fun way to meet new people and have a break from the screen! Into a range of books - usually about medical stories, war and conflict photography and mystical fiction!

Seeking a book club

I like good writing and I like a good murder mystery (but not the violent kind - give me a nice polite murder any time). Also like funny/witty books and non-fiction (particularly history). The one thing I don't read is "celebrity" biography but, otherwise, never happier than when the pile of books beside my bed is so high it's in danger of toppling

Bookaddict recommends:

The Poisoned Chocolates Case by Anthony Berkeley

Beautifully written and plotted quite brilliantly. So clever. So very clever. BUT, if you get hold of the British Library Crime Classics edition, I recommend you close the book where Berkeley stops writing and ignore the denouements added by later editors.

I have always enjoyed reading and would love to meet new people who share my enthusiasm for books. I tend to gravitate towards contemporary fiction but really enjoy trying something different and know book groups can help me discover something new and interesting.

Jane S recommends:

100 Years of Lennie & Margot
by Marianne Cronin | Learn more and buy
A celebration of life, beautiful friendships, love and loss. A very moving debut novel full of wisdom and soul.
