Seeking a book club

After falling out of the habit a few years ago, I'm trying to get back into regualr reading but I'm not really sure what I like, so happy to try anything recommended! It would also be nice to join a local social group as I'm quite shy when meeting new people.

Phil

Seeking a book club

I’m Phil, very much a latecomer to fiction and I’m still seeking my go to genre. I love a good thriller, or anything engaging and entertaining to be honest, although sci-fi & fantasy has never appealed. I’d love to join a group If anyone could recommend?

Phil recommends:

How to Stop Time by Matt Haig

It was truly entertaining, ironically on the fantastical side, but very much enjoyed by someone who says he doesn’t favour fantasy, it was easy and relaxing. I can’t offer much more of a synopsis as I can’t remember but I recalled drifting along with the plot every night and then missing it once read.
