I'm looking to meet like minded people who enjoy reading/nice people! I've enjoyed reading The Pianist, Thursday Murder Club, Weyward and The Lighthouse Witches in the past year after a fairly long break from reading. I'd like to get back into reading more again. I've never really read fantasy but I think I'd love it. My fav film is Avatar. I like themes exploring consciousness and mystery in life and in books. I've read quite a lot of books that were made into films and I enjoy watching films with a live orchestra too. I love stories with an underdog of any genre and seem to like books with a war or sports theme of this ilk. I've recently started reading feminist literature too. I'm 48 :)

I'm an American fella who has called Liverpool my home for 10 years now. I'm somebody who has played a lot of AD&D 2e and have been trying to get back into the hobby lately. Trying my hand at DMing (I have run a couple of "one shots" so far) using 5e rules. Looking to put together a group of players (no experience required) who would be willing to tolerate my growing pains as a fledgling DM. Get in touch and lets quest together!!

Seeking a gaming group
I’m a 38-year-old board gamer with a fairly extensive collection and a strong interest in medium to medium-heavy games. I’m particularly drawn to thematic titles—Norse or Greek mythology, epic conflicts, large-scale structures (e.g., Great Wall–style settings), and boss-battle style gameplay all appeal to me. Mechanics I especially enjoy include worker placement, area control/area majority, deck building, pick-up-and-deliver, and puzzle-oriented systems. I’m generally open to most board game styles, but I’m not a fan of party games, social deduction, hidden-role, or detective-style games. I’m hoping to find a regular group for weekly game nights, hosted at my place in Maghull North. You can view my collection on BoardGameGeek (username: AsymmetryX) to get a better sense of the games I enjoy. Happy to connect via BGG, email, or WhatsApp.
