Samantha Cash

Seeking a book club

My sister (28) just moved to Oxford, and I (31) will be staying with her for almost two months. We're looking for a fun, like-minded group to gather with and discuss our favorite books. Both of us are passionate readers and have enjoyed being part of several book clubs in the past. Our tastes are eclectic—everything from romance and fantasy to hard science, non-fiction, and horror. We’re always down for casual meetups at the pub, but we especially love the idea of themed events!

This book is just a delight! If I had to give an elevator pitch it would be: the princess Bride, but Buttercup gets to be the rescuer… and also kinda Dr. Who. Synopsis: Tress leaves her peaceful island home to go on a pirate adventure to rescue the love of her life from an evil witch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Seeking a gaming group

Hello! I’m 30yo, some experience playing DND 5e, and have played a few sessions now. Unfortunately our campaign came to a quick end as our dm could no longer take which I was gutted about. I would love to be able to keep playing, and so if anyone is in need of new D&D friends then please message! My sister is also interested in taking part, we are happy to join a new campaign or an already established one :) Open to hosting also if needed!

Lucy

Seeking a book club

Hi I'm Lucy - I'm in my 30s, and I love to read. Most recent on my read list are: The count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, The History of the world in six glasses by Tom Standage The Very Secret Society of irregular witches by Sangu Mandanna. I read anything from non-fiction to Classics, art theory to romantasy - love to apply the things I've read in theory to the texts I'm reading. Currently reading: girl online by Joanna Walsh (a manifesto of sorts about the ways women interact with online spaces) and Vanity Fair by Thackeray. Looking to either join and start a book group with people who want to read together, talk about what we're reading, drink some wine and make pals. (non alcoholic beverages are of course available!)

I have been playing TTRPG's for about 5 years. I have played a variety of systems. I am happy to play nearly any system, I like more charter and roleplay-focused games. Intrigue my favorite game style but believe fitting with the group dynamic is most impotent for having a good time.
