Holly

Gaming group

I've put two listings up: one seeking a formed group and one looking to set one up. Whichever happens first! I'm Holly (27F). I've been playing DnD (mostly 5e) for ~ 10 years now both as a DM and player. I'm looking to set up an in person group (or join one) as I miss it! I'd probably start off by DMing some one shots at a pub or board game cafe to see if we vibe as a group and then maybe looking at some regular sessions either of a campaign or fun one shots. Mostly I just miss DnD and would love to play again so do contact me if you'd be interested in a group. Oxford city center, Cowley area or headington area are best for me!

Seeking a gaming group

I've put two listings up: one seeking a formed group and one looking to set one up. Whichever happens first! I'm Holly (27F). Been playing DnD (mostly 5E) for about 10 years. I DM'd a 2 year campaign but have also been a player in multiple games/campaigns. Looking for a fun group to either do oneshots with or if things go well I'm open to long campaigns. Happy to be a DM or a player I just want to play DnD! Playstyle-wise I prefer sessions that lean more to RP than combat but I still enjoy the combat though.

Seeking a gaming group

Hi, I'm Campbell (19F). I have 7 years of DM experience, and recently switched from 1E D&D to 5E after 6 years. I play roughly 70/30 RP vs Combat. Would love to hear from anyone in the Witney/Eynsham/Oxford area interested in playing :))

Seeking a gaming group

I’ve got a *little* experience with DnD 5E as both a player and a dm (though I’m currently looking to be a player.) I don’t have any experience with other systems but I’d love to learn!

Jane

Seeking a book club

I'd like to join a book club to meet new people and read books that I wouldn't have otherwise chosen. I'm flexible with genres, although my favorite books are those that make me think.

Sophie

Seeking a gaming group

I've just moved back to Oxford after working in Hertfordshire for a while and am looking for a DnD group to join (and make some new friends)! I've played 5e and 3.5/Pathfinder before in mostly homebrew settings, but would be up for a new system and story.

Seeking a gaming group

My friend Logan and I were going to join a dnd group, but it fell through sadly (due to availability). This would be our first time playing although we have a basic understanding of dnd and we also have a character each created on dnd beyond. I live in Oxford and he’s in Aylesbury so we would be looking at joining a group in the area.

Gaming group

Old school Gen-X D&D'er (and Gamma World player) looking for a low-key tabletop adventure group to play with. I just want to slay dragons, level up, and be part of a great story. I don't care about anything else.

Elliott

Seeking a book club

I love reading a read a lot, all genres fiction and non fiction, but have never really discussed books in earnest. I would very much like to join or start a book club, meeting monthly on a weekday evening somewhere in or around Oxford (I'm in Wootton Village just outside Oxford). I would describe my desired group as essentially casual, small and friendly, with a genuine interest and effort at reading and discussing a new book each month.

Seeking a book club

I have a love of all things weird or speculative (sci fi, body horror, afrofuturism...) and am always curious about books that will open my mind. Shift-worker so I keep strange hours.

Melancholy, full of folklore and imagination. Ultimately a love-letter to female friendships and a lamentation that romantic (straight) relationships often take advantage of women.

Ian

Seeking a book club

Hi. My name is Ian. I am retired and moved to Oxfordshire two years ago with my partner. My ideal meet up location would probably be Central Oxford. Monthly would suit. My current rosta of authors I enjoy include Jonathan Coe, Ian McEwan, Evelyn Waugh and Raymond Chandler; however i am constantly on the lookout for any author who looks worthwhile dipping into. And i would love to get involved in group discussions. I hope to hear back from you soon. Rgds, Ian

Read it about a month ago and it sure has stayed with me. The author takes you to a terrible time and place, but describes the characters with genuine affection and brings between the wars Berlin to life despite the decay and impending dread.
