Matt

Seeking a gaming group

Interested in joining or creating either an online or F2F DnD group. I have been playing 5e now for 3 years and the majority of this time I have been a DM. Looking to join or get a group together to be able to share the load out. Happy to DM a campaign but would really love the opportunity to play as a player too.

Seeking a book club

Hi, I’m 17 from Moreton in marsh and would like to meet other book lovers. I don’t really socialise much and think that this would be a great way for me to start meeting new people!

Ben

Seeking a gaming group

Hi I'm Ben. (22M) I'm new to D&D and would like to play 5e with a group. Have played a couple one shots before and played quite a bit of BG3 and now I really want to play a proper tabletop campaign! I am open to learn and also to meet new friends :) If anyone is interested in playing 5e it would be great to hear from you! (I am able to travel to games if need be all around Oxfordshire county)

Perspective

Seeking a gaming group

Hiya! I'm a 23 year old player/GM with 4-6 years of experience. Most of my experience has been online, but I have played a couple of years in person. I would prefer to be a player as I'm running a home game, which I wouldn't want to split between multiple GM'd games. In terms of my play, I prefer roleplay to the combat side, but happy in both styles. I've mostly only played Dungeons and Dragons 5e (2014), but I'm interested in playing other systems. Including but not limited to: Root, Witcher TTRPG, Cyberpunk Red, and City of Mist.

Seeking a book club

I'm new to the Witney/Chipping Norton and love reading all things fantasy and romantasy. Dabbled with a bit of light horror and crime fiction (love me a true crime podcast) but do always find myself back in the fantasy section for a bit of comfort. Looking for a good chinwag about something other than the weather and a bit of guidance about what to read next.

Celia

Seeking a book club

‘We read to know we’re not alone’ - my favourite line from one of my favourite films, Shadowlands. I’m looking for human connection beyond the pages, a chance to meet with other book worms and share thoughts and responses, and hopefully a laugh or two.

Arrested Song by Irena Karafilly

The depth of the characters, the powerful writing and the detailed historical context informed by careful research that follows the protagonist, Calliope, through the turbulence of Greece’s years during the Second World War and beyond. I loved Calliope’s sharp intelligence, dry wit and the depth of her inner life that we’re privy to. She feels injustice keenly and we warm to her because she is human; she errs because she has such a big heart, which guides her actions, not always for the best. This is the sort of book she don’t want to end.
