Seeking a gaming group

I'm looking around for hobbies to get into and some fresh faces to get to know. Previous experiences in tabletop stuff was a DnD group I had joined but I didn't really get along with how it all worked and felt bad for wasting their time, hopefully I can give it another go.

From the US, and frequently visit Norwich for extended periods. And with the intention to move to Norwich in 2027. I'll be in Norwich the month of Sept and very interested in reading feminist writers and group discussion. Have previous experience in leading a group or being a participant. My latest read was several works by Virginia Woolf. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you. Warmly, Ellen

Seeking a gaming group

I've been playing DnD for a couple years and have an interest in other systems (Deathwatch, VtM, etc). I'm looking for new people to play with in person as scheduling and location makes it hard to get my old group together. Open to joining a group or forming a new one.

David

Seeking a book club

I am a published author who wants to promote my books and also learn what the book readers of Norwich want from their novels of choice. I also read myself and I am very interested in other people's recommendations.

David recommends:

The Connection

I wrote it and it's the first in a series of four. It introduced James Fraser who is my alto ego with the story in parts mirroring my own life.

Feminist Book Club

Book club

Weโ€™re a casual book club that meets once a month with the aim of bringing together all folx in a safe, welcoming space to share and listen to diverse perspectives, celebrating different backgrounds from all corners of the world and how our experiences shape the way we each interpret the stories we read. As a community we build bonds through books and conversation, creating space where everyone feels heard, respected, and free to bring their whole selves to the table. Each month, we explore books that challenge, inspire, and spark connection, always focusing on intersectional feminism, and the joy of reading together. Our book club offers both in-person and online sessions so that no one has to miss out. Our in-person sessions take place in wheelchair-accessible venues around the city, so theyโ€™re open and welcoming to everyone who wants to join us face to face. But we also know that getting into town isnโ€™t always easy. Thatโ€™s why we hold separate online sessions on a different day, giving anyone who canโ€™t attend in person the chance to still be part of the conversation, share their thoughts, and enjoy the book with the group.
