I'm looking to make friends with people who I can share books I love and explore new books with, also to be introduces to new ones. I read all over the place with great love for fantasy, greek tales turned into fantastic stories and really any moments in history. Have also been tipping my toes into non-fiction books about nature and our world. Would love to be meet at cafes or go on walks to discuss the books we discover.

I like historical novels, magic realism, and nothing too blood thirsty or graphic. Recently read Anthony Doerr's Cloud Cuckoo Land and just loved it.

I have loved reading for as long as I can remember, so I have been thinking of joining a local book club since moving to West Sussex in 2020, but I couldn't find one. I'd be happy to meet new people and occasionally gather to chat over a cup of tea in a local pub or cafe. With my son off to uni this year, it feels like the right time to make another effort in this direction. Regarding my preferences, I like reading historical fiction, thrillers, dramas, and detectives. I often alternate fiction with nonfiction, preferring books about history. Lastly, English isn't my first language in case it's important to someone, but I haven't had problems communicating with others so far.
