I'm a volunteer at Stoneleigh Community Library, right next door to Stoneleigh Train Station and we have the crime/thriller author Kia Abdullah coming to the library on Thursday 2nd October 2025 at 7pm. This is a FREE event and if you're interested please email me direct or [email protected] to reserve a place. Kia will be discussing her writing style and her 5 books and taking audience questions.

I have loved books all my life encompassing a wide variety of genres from thrillers like Stephen King to the wonderful early Monica Dickens autobiographical novels to F Scott Fitzgerald, JD Salinger, Muriel Spark, Herman Raucher etc. I have now retired but find myself needing to socialise and would love to get ideas about what books to read now.
