Seeking a book club

Hiya, I’m a huge book lover and was hoping to find a book club nearby. I’m open to travelling to the meeting spot. My genres are quite varied; I enjoy fantasy, romance, and a bit of crime. Basically, anything that’s an easy read.

Seeking a book club

Hi, I am new to Dorking. I have not been an avid reader except for work - as a jounalist so I do read and write news articles all day- but I am looking to join a book club and start really reading. I am 68, a Scot/Brit but just moved back to UK from San Francisco. Thanks!

I took this on my first solo holiday in years. Loved everything about it. So characterful and I like how the story unfolded. Who would have thought a book about penguins and annold, crabby lady, could be so entertaining!

It is such a feel good book, with hope and how somehow we can impact a life without really knowing how amazing this can be for the person. It is also about what family really means and what happiness means in practice and on a visceral level. It is also written so beautifully, down to earth... not at all sickly sweet and you just end up liking all those that are meant to be liked and actually you pity those that a pain in the backside as sometimes we have all experienced trying to do good but it going wrong. No to mention the moments when you are laughing... because even in the most tense of life moments...even when you can't see it at the time... life is side splittingly funny x

I just love to read, novels, biographies, history, poetry, self help and I am not ashamed to say if a book is a particular favourite I will read it again and again. I lost my way with reading for a while but I am back and would love to join a local book club and make new friends.

Seeking a gaming group

Hi all played d&d on and off since the 80's have played 5e extensively over the past few years but the group I was in has unfortunately now disbanded. I'm easy going party centric and happy to roleplay. I'm looking for a group of similar minded individuals who don't just want hack and slash adventures but some with some depth. I'm happy to GM on occasion too although I wouldn't want to GM exclusively.

Seeking a book club

Hi. I am a prolific reader of all types of books, both fact and fiction. I have been trying to find a book club to join to expand what I read and meet fellow readers. To date no joy finding a book group. Therefore I am thinking of trying to create an informal gathering with like minded book fans. I am based in Dorking. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me.
