29M, new to DnD and new to Cambridge! I’ve watched DnD podcasts and played Baldur’s Gate 3, so I kinda know the general rules about 5e, but have never played any TTRPG before. Down for one-shots or recurring weekly sessions if you are open for me to learn while playing!

Warm Fantasy is my main genre for reading and writing. Inspired by Terry Pratchett. Readable biographies , though not of most sports players, and genuine memoirs of military folk are good. Books about regional life in all areas of the world are of interest. Weather, geology. geography, writing including poetry are also of interest.

Hi I was a very amateur ttrpg player and it has been 10+ years since I joined a group. Id love to find a local group where I could learn a bit more and play in a calm relaxed and friendly setting.

Returning to the hobby after a long hiatus. Recently, I've played online and at conventions, and am keen to find a regular group for face to face gaming in Cambridge. I have run Dungeon Crawl Classics and Dragonbane and played plenty of D&D, Runequest and Call of Cthulhu. 56M

Newbie. I like listening to critical role and have recently started playing Dnd. I really enjoy fast paced, immersive scenarios. A good balance between role play and battles and puzzles to solve. And prefer a group that's no more than 6 people. English as a second language and part of the lgbtq community. 34F (identify as genderfluid but use she/her pronouns)

Been DM-ing 5e since 2017 and Draw Steel since it came out! Looking for a side game ideally as a player after work. I tend to play fairly fun casual games where run comes ahead of rules, but I'm just happy to roll some dice!

Gaming group
We have a group of four preparing to start a campaign, and are looking for one or two more to join us. We are based around Cambridge and Huntingdon, and planning to meet fortnightly (or there abouts), probably on Friday evenings (although can be flexible). Emphasis is on having fun socially and trying to develop a good adventure narrative. Please reach out if you fancy joining.

Nick
Seeking a book club
Hi, I’m Nick. The genre I’m most drawn to at the moment is Western fiction. Cormac McCarthy is a particular favourite, though I’ve read many of the classic authors in the genre. Over the years I’ve gone through phases with fantasy and science fiction as well, and I’m always happy to venture into something different if it comes highly recommended. Some of my favourite discoveries through other readers’ suggestions have been A Month in the Country and The Sombrero Fallout—books I might never have picked up on my own, but ended up loving. I’m married with two children, so like many people at this stage of life, I’ve found that family life leaves a bit less time and opportunity to meet new people. I’d love to connect with others who share a genuine enthusiasm for books and enjoy swapping recommendations and talking about what they’re reading.
