I am a DM with 7 years of experience running D&D 5e and 5.5e. Looking for players who enjoy RP more than combat and want to play D&D 5.5e (the newest version). They must be willing to travel to Buxton on a Thursday to play in person.

Seeking a book club

I’ve always loved reading, and last year I finally got back into it in full swing. I found myself reading a ton of Agatha Christie and other whodunit novels—I love a good mystery and trying to piece together the clues before the big reveal! Beyond mysteries, I’m interested in all things literature and enjoy exploring new authors and titles as well as going back to the classics. One of the more recent novels I read was Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult, which I really enjoyed. I’m also new to the Buxton area and would love to join a book group as a way to meet new people, make some friends, and connect with others who genuinely love to read. I’m looking forward to discovering books I might not have picked up on my own, sharing thoughts and recommendations, and, of course, having some fun conversations along the way.

One Hundred Years of Solitude
by Gabriel García Márquez | Learn more and buy
Its an amazing tale of many generations of the same family leaving through pain, love, loss. Its a tale of humanity in a miniature version.

I'm a D&D player of reasonable experience (close to a decade give or take) recruiting for players on behalf of a DM that's been playing a little longer than me for a new campaign we're trying to get off the ground revolving around the mythos of ancient Greece in a world where people can strive towards challenging the gods themselves and those who've usurped their titles for their power. It will be a very slow burn campaign, starting at Level 3 and working our way up from there, currently scoping out to gauge interest from others looking to participate.
