Reg (Dorchester)
Seeking a book club
I am a regular Tour Guide at the two houses of Thomas Hardy in Dorchester. I am also a member of the Thomas Hardy Society. I have recently published a book called Thomas Hardy Abridged about his novels and short stories, that is now available on Amazon. I would be delighted to visit any local book clubs to present an hour's presentation on Hardy's life and loves. No fee just the opportunity to meet other Hardy fans and of course to sell some copies of my book!

Avid reader, in my 50s (sadly not for much longer), looking to join a book club that meets physically rather than virtually on either a weekly or monthly basis. I'll read just about anything but my preferred genres are Fantasy, Science Fiction and general thrillers. Currently reading The Devils by Joe Abercrombie, The Halflings Gem by R A Salvatore and Abroad in Japan by Chris Broad. Still looking for a book group in Blandford or surrounds but failing that if anyone is intetested in forming one please ley me know.

Beth (Wimborne)
Seeking a book club
A 31 woman who has fallen in love with reading again. Having moved back to Dorset nearly 4 years ago, I have struggled to meet new, likeminded people and make friends - so would love to find book group to help find my tribe. The memes of “you read Harry Potter and Hunger games as a kid, then had a 10 year gap, picked up ACOTAR and now reading is your personality”, its a perfect description of me ☺️ I love to get lost in the pages, preferring fantasy and romance books but will give any good recommendation a try. Hope to speak to some of you soon.

Saj (Poole)
Seeking a book club
Hi. I’ve been a reader all my life. I don’t have any specific genres that I enjoy more, just always got a book on the go. I mostly read books that are recommended to me. Books take me to different places, meet different people, learn new phrases and words. The joy of getting into a book and liking or disliking the characters can draw you in completely. Me, I’ve just become a grandmother and feel overwhelmed with love for this little girl. My life is full and happy. However, I’ve aways wanted to join a book club to discuss these great books. So if anyone would like an additional member or would like to form a book club with me, get in touch. Saj

David (Bournemouth)
Seeking a book club
I am looking to make contact with people who are interested in murder, mystery, detective, procedural stories. I enjoy such stories set in post-1st and - 2nd world wars; scandi-noir-esque, set in India, again, between the wars in into the 1950s. But I am willing to be guided towards new authors within this genre.

My second due for publication thus weekend, The Little Stranger at Your Door tells of my wartime evacuee experiences and of the challenges of various jobs to keep a roof over my head.

After a lifetime of reading, teaching and training, I appreciate the value of being well read. A successful man once told me as a youngster "You are the product of the people you meet and the books you read" A saying I have stuck to ever since. Helping an old friend publish his books, I've encountered the world of indie authors in addition to the many well know mainstream authors.

Seeking a gaming group
I'm in my late 50s and whilst I've been playing videogame RPGs and some board games for about 30 years I'm very new to TTGs and would really like to get together with some like-minded individuals to explore more table top games. Very interested in DnD (though not experienced), Wrymspan, SW Outer Rim or just engaging games in general.
