Bakewell Book Chat (Chesterfield)
Book club
Meets at Bakewell Library on Run by Carole Newbould Library service We are a large group of 18, various ages but unfortunately only one gentleman! The group was started in February 2001, so we have just celebrated our 10th anniversary and still have many of our original readers. We meet once a month in our local library but in the near future have decided to move our meetings to a local pub! We tend to read contemporary novels but of all genres. In recent months our two favourite reads have been 'Wolf Hall' and 'The Help'. Over the years we've held many special themed meetings including 'Booker' and 'Orange' events and have a literary Christmas party every December. We meet at: Orme Court, Granby Road, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1ES Accepting new members
