Would love to make friends and connect with other local readers! I am a 25 year old teacher who moved back to the area in January and have struggled to make many friends outside of work! I love to read everything from romance to murder mystery all the way to non-fiction and self development!

Dom (Marlow)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi, I'm Dom and I've recently moved away from my regular club and am looking for a new table. I've been playing D&D (mostly 5e but recently D&D2024) for five years and have been running games for two. I would love to find a table locally to run/play weekday evenings and have a preference for roleplay heavy high-fantasy settings.

Jess (Marlow)

Seeking a book club

Hi, I'm Jess. I moved to Bucks from Norfolk last year and would like to make new friends in the area. I'm 43 and enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction. My favourite genres are murder mystery and legal thrillers - I love Agatha Christie and have enjoyed The Marlow Murder Club and Thursday Murder Club series, as well as The Suspect and The Trial by Rob Rinder. I'd like to expand my reading selection too. I would be looking for an in-person club, evenings or weekends

Suman (Chesham)

Seeking a book club

I have a special interest in the British Raj so any fiction or non fiction related to that era. Have been in Chesham over 7 years. Always loved reading but never been part of a book club, so I'm intrigued.

It captures the frustrations, loneliness of a couple who stayed on in India after independence. A couple who were trapped by their Englishness but whose love and connection to India lingered on.

Millie (Gerrards Cross)

Seeking a book club

I'm in my early 20s and looking for a book club. I used to be in book clubs at school and miss the discussion and excitement of books. I like reading a variety of genres but mostly gravitate towards historical fiction, mystery or just contemporary fiction. My favourite books this year have been Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier and Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson. I love analysing and hearing what other people think about books and literature.

Millie recommends:

Georgia Kate (Buckingham)

24 year old. I have always enjoyed reading autobiographies and survival stories (i.e. Into Thin Air, Left For Dead). But I have recently starting reading Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi and love it! I have been reading the "booktok" books which I am really enjoying. I would love to join a book club to expand my reading list as well as read books I would not usually pick up. Currently reading: Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
