Hey! I'm 33. I'm looking to get back into reading after a bit of a hiatus, meet some new people, and enjoy some good company. Looking to join a book club that meets about once a month. I enjoy reading both fantasy and sci-fi, with a particular focus on either steampunk-esque settings or superhuman abilities, be that magic, superpowers, or science gone mad. Moral tension in the setting is a big draw, too. I'm also happy to try new genres, and if I'm a little outside my comfort zone I tend to be happiest.

Hi, I'm looking for a book club that reads mainly fiction but is open to dipping into other genres from time to time. I tend to enjoy literary fiction — recently I've really enjoyed Nell Zink — and I also love essays and short stories, particularly writers like Jo Ann Beard and Lucia Berlin. I'm drawn to books with strong voices, sharp observation and a bit of originality. The classics are also important. Hoping to find a group that meets in person in Perth City.

I would like to join a book group to find new genres to read and pick up recommendations I like reading crime novels fiction and non fiction , fantasy books, farming autobiographies and celebrity autobiographies and I also like reading good stories I am currently reading Paul Ferris Unfinished Buisness which so far has been a really good read.

I'm a happily retired senior support worker in mental healthcare. I'd enjoy chatting about my personal favourite genres and enjoy hearing about and learning from other people's favourites. I read either historical novels or actual histories, I loved Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall series, or my other , very different, choice is American Crime fiction. Everything from Chandler to contemporary writers.
