Seeking a book club

I've always loved reading since I was a child, namely every genre! I'm 23 now and have become pretty reserved to only reading psychological thrillers now, they're my fave genre. I've given other genres a go but can never seem to get into the story. I'd love to go out and socialise with others via a book club, I really enjoy meeting new people!

Seeking a book club

Iโ€™m 30 and have just got back into reading after a slump for a few years. Looking for a book club or to meet friends with similar interests. Iโ€™ve always been into ancient history and have a degree in Classics. I like sci-fi and post-apocalyptic fiction and now Iโ€™m on the romantasy hype!

Seeking a book club

I tend to gravitate towards classic European literature and non-fiction (pre-Roman/medieval history, folklore, nature), but Iโ€™m interested in reading across a range of genres and learning from othersโ€™ interests too. Itโ€™d be really nice to bring my reading into a sociable setting and make some new friends over coffee, museum visits or book shopping trips โ˜บ๏ธ

Michael

Seeking a book club

Hello all. Would like to find people to form a casual, social book club with. My tastes are eclectic: classic lit, poetry, contemporary American fiction, some sci-fi (Philip K. Dick, etc.), some fantasy (Tolkien and Peake, etc.), world lit, Japanese lit (Abe Kobo), essays, history, primary historical sources, some science, psychotherapy (Iโ€™m a trainee counsellor). I write weird fiction and poetry. I like novelty. My ideal book club is varied, occasionally arcane. Iโ€™m a squirrel chaser and I get bored reading the same sort of thing over and over. Hit me up if any of this interests you.

Seeking a book club

Hi, I am 24 year old guy looking to get into reading more - I'm mainly interested in literature subjected around romance, tragedy, thrillers and horrors - but open to new topics also. Based around Manchester/Greater Manchester so reach out if you want to start something hopefully productive and social!

Deen recommends:

Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell

Eerily reminiscent of our current times... Powerful read, harrowing ending. Focuses on the pressures society has on an individual and the persistent and how free will and thought can be malleated and forgotten. Quite popular for a reason - if you have not read already, read!

AlexiaR

Seeking a book club

My name is Alexia im 24 years old and i have always had that curiosity for books but never had the patience for it and im pretty lazy when it comes to reading at all. I love that idea of spending the whole afternoon reading in a cosy space at home, as a good house rat. I would love to have a group to read with and to give me more of an incentive when it comes to reading as well as good books to choose from the experience of others. I love romance , fiction and romantic comedies and i am also a business psychology student which requires me to read a lot thus i would love to develop that patience for reading.
