Book Club Derby (the names a work in progress)

Book club

I'm looking to get some people together and start a book club in Derby. I'm thinking of doing a variety of different genres, and I'm open to suggestions as well. I'm still working on a location, but I'm thinking somewhere near the city centre. Hopefully I can find a location and start the book club in April.

I read a wide range of genres thrillers spy novels historical novels mainstream classics to non fiction of varying types. Interested in sharing thoughts on books not in a forensic sense more to talk about the stories themselves to people who enjoy reading.

Japan-UK Cultural exchange 日本・英国文化交流, East Midlands

Language exchange

This Derby-based group brings together people interested in Japanese and British culture for language exchange and social meet-ups. It says events are mainly held in coffee shops, pubs and restaurants, where members can practise Japanese or English and get to know one another. The organiser notes that mistakes are normal and that the group is open to people from Japan and elsewhere.
