The coworker

It's an easy read, I always jump into a Mcadden book when I'm feeling in a bookslump, she's a brilliant story teller.

For permitting myself, without an introduction. Which I will now give. I am 22 years old and a recent university graduate. I would like the opportunity to discuss literature with likeminded individuals if possible. My interest currently is in Murakami and Russian literature.

Red

Seeking a book club

Hi, I'm 22, looking to join a book club. I've been reading a lot of Murakami atm. I don't have many friends who read, so it'd be really nice to find a group of people similarly aged who do

Red recommends:

Charlotte

Seeking a book club

I enjoy science fiction such as Philip K. Dick. I also like dystopian literature such as 1984 and animal farm. I’m looking for new recommendations and a chat about books :)

Charlotte recommends:

Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick

It’s exciting, mysterious and romantic and focussed entirely around the struggles of a single character and their journey with empathy in a stagnating dystopian society.

StoryWriterGuy

Seeking a book club

I like fiction, short stories, thrillers, and occasional biographies. A book group that is fun & friendly, that creates good discussion and makes us realise and respect other people's point of view, that hopefully allows us to become enlightened beyond our own pillars of wisdom!

StoryWriterGuy recommends:

Papillon
by Henri Chariere (10 times better than the great film) | Learn more and buy
Once you get past the first chapter you cannot put it down

We gather monthly, as well as in July for a social occasion, in Radyr, Cardiff, Glamorgan, to discuss books - all ten of us retired ladies taking it seriously. We use internet resources to keep us focused, while also partaking in some refreshments and enjoying each other's company as we share our thoughts on the book! Some even murmur that the discussions are their best when the wine is flowing.
