Rosy Maple Moth

Seeking a book club

I have always enjoyed science fiction and fantasy, especially where authors have created ‘hard’ magic systems and thorough worldbuilding. That said, I also love the depth and long-lasting impact of well-told dramas. Unfortunately, I stopped reading for quite a while until recently, and I am looking for a book club as I make more time to read. I would prefer to attend a book club in person, expand my reading shelf and have good conversations with others about books.

Hi I’m Lauren, I’m 30 and work for the NHS. I’m really into thriller books, and I do like some horror. Anything with plot twist I didn’t see coming. I would love the join a book club to socialise with others who share my interests, and to be given book recommendations.

Sina

Seeking a book club

I'm looking for a book group in or near Troon, Ayr, or Prestwick. Ideally we would meet during evenings or weekends, but I am quite flexible. Also I would like to meet in person, instead of online. I love reading the classics, thrillers, horror, historic novels and slice of life books. Not the biggest fan of romance or romantasy.

Photographer, Yoga teacher, Music & Animal lover, Sporty and essentially a community person (small c) struggling with concepts of mortality and suffering, always done art of some form and once upon a time was an engineer, love the WILD and GREAT ESPRESSO

It is a 'sort of' auto-bio by Dyland that jumps around moments in his life. It is poetry, damn Dylan writes the most incredible lines, it is thick (not physically), dense, beautiful, inspiring and kind of helped me around a secong hand box set of his work. If you like words and poetry you may well love this. If you are a stickler for chronology and linearity you may hate this book. I loved it and may well read it again, with a pencil in hand.
