Affinity by Sarah Waters

The premises of this book is genius, harrowing, intricate and heart-wrenching all at the same time. Sarah Waters' ability to create an atmosphere, invoke mystery and subvert expectation is second to none. The book is sapphic, supernatural and mysterious in nature, with a twist that will knock your socks off!

Sammy (Solihull)

Gaming group

Hello all! My name is Sam, and I am currently putting the finishing touches on my very first homebrew campaign, and am on the lookout for a dedicated party of adventurers to tell it's tale (aiming for no more than six). Any adult of any age, background and experience are welcome, from first time players (don't be nervous, this is also my own very first time DMing myself) to seasoned players (you can keep me humble ha). Am trying to finish the planning and start it all before the end of the year, though wholly dependent on how long it all takes to find you all of course. Aiming to be bi-weekly (every two weeks), long-running, with hopeful in-person sessions in the Solihull area, but also happy to welcome those who maybe can't attend in person to the table virtually; the only requirement is a desire to play! We'll want to create a deep story with some awesome character development, (hopefully) filled with heart and held together with humour. The approach to the campaign has been inspired by the technicalities/dynamics/foundations of two personal favourite actual-plays, 'Dimension 20' and 'Venture Forth', if that helps you with the vibe. If you're interested then give me a buzz to discuss and see if everything fits and piques your interest.

Max (Solihull)

Gaming group

Watched a bunch of Critical Role/Dimension 20, love how they play DnD, but I've never played DnD myself. Would love to give it a try. Willing to join any ongoing campaign, quick one-shots, or anything DnD related, really. English is my second language, so as long as you're willing to accept that, hit me up and we'll see if we can get something going :)

Hiya! I've never played a tabletop game before, but I've wanted to for a while. D&D would probably be my preferred game, but I'm not picky. Just hoping to have fun & maybe make some friends :)

Officially I'm retired, so now I just pursue property investment for social housing and working as a therapist. But I should get out more and combining that with getting back into reading more than just a daily newspaper appeals to me

Watched a lot of RPGs listened to blades in the dark heists. Watched you awaken in a strange place. Quite a few of critical roles one shots. I like magic, would probably play an eleven. Have DM/ GM the games were roughly 20 minutes long for my final project. Seeking friendly humans.
