Hi, my name is Iman and i'm 24 from Broxburn. I like reading fiction in general, especially contemporary, thrillers and romcoms. I am open to trying anything however. I have been looking for a local book group for a while however most seem to be in Edinburgh, so I decided to send a message when I came across this post. It was great to read a supernatural romance book with adult characters. The plot was great and I adored Mercy and Lowe. There were lines which really made me laugh and a detailed plot (which I like in a romance).

This was one of my quickest read books as it fully drew me in to the story. Its primarily a WW2 story but switches between wartime and the 1970s. It highlights the role of remote, scottish, west coast communities in the artic convoys. With romance, war and mystery all intertwined, I highly recommend it.

Kristin takes you on an emotional journey through World War II with particular focus on the woman of the French Revolution. The book demonstrates womans resilience through these hard times and the bravery they had to endure. It's an amazing read.
