had a couple attempts DMing some friends one of the starter kits but never managed to get the campaigns off the ground. Wrote off D&D until Baldur's Gate 3 and now I'm itching to get into it perhaps with some players with more experience

Federica (Manchester)

Seeking a book club

Hi! I’m 24 and absolutely love reading. I mostly read classics, contemporary fiction and philosophy books but there’s no genre I wouldn’t like to explore more. I want to join a book club to make some new friends in Manchester since I haven’t lived here for long!

Federica recommends:

I think this is a really fun and underrated classic. It's probably one of the most "meta" books I've ever read as the main character is you, "the reader" and the story starts when you begin reading a book but realise that the pages are out of order so you go on a quest to try to find the "correct" copy. It discusses what is means to be an author, a reader and the relationship between fiction and life, all in a very fun and engaging plot. If you want a book about books, this is it!

I've been reading comic books since a kid. Typically Marvel and DC and looking to meet like-minded people who have similar interest in graphic novels. I live in Bolton now and now middle aged would be nice catch up on these graphic novels after years of not doing so

A Death in the family
Showed the dark side of Batman but also his vulnerability and his hidden compassion

I have played in 1 oneshot but have been listening to some actual play podcasts if various types for a few years (girls who don't dnd, royal housewives of dnd, pretending to be people (DG/cthulu?), jesters of ravenloft and Dark Dice, all excellent and highly recommend). I would like to play more myself, perhaps with oneshots to start off.

Hi! I'm a 20 something book reader in Chorlton, Manchester. A curious bookworm, snack enthusiast, and general lover of a cosy evening. I work in publishing and read cross-genre and am always looking to expand my reading horizons. If you’re into chats about Taylor Swift, books, and the occasional espresso martini, we’ll get along brilliantly.
