Iโ€™m 46 and love tabletop RPGs. Whether Iโ€™m boldly going where no one has gone before in Star Trek Adventures or battling eldritch horrors in Achtung! Cthulhu, Iโ€™m all about having fun, laughing around the table, and getting lost in epic adventure. Looking to set up an in-person Achtung Cthulhu group.

Joe (Manchester)

Seeking a gaming group

Hey I'm Joe I'm 22, I'm looking for a group to play DND (as a player) - I've gotten into it the last year - watching groups play on youtube, BG3 etc etc. Last year me and my mate were lucky enough to find some people and do a very small campaign, we had to stop after a few sessions as we were in our last year of University which sucked. However a lot of free time has opened up and we're looking for some ways to find a DND group so if anyone is looking for 2 extra players hit me up

Ayesha (Manchester)

Seeking a book club

Hi my names ayesha i love reading feel good books and romance books. Iโ€™d love to join a book group because Iโ€™m looking for a way to connect with others in a meaningful, low-pressure setting. I spend most of my time working as a nurse, which can be rewarding but also isolating, and I miss having regular conversations that arenโ€™t just about work. I enjoy reading and would love the chance to share thoughts, laugh, and listen with people who also find comfort and inspiration in books.

Simon (Manchester)

Seeking a gaming group

I am a long time fan of rpgs I work Monday-friday most weeks and am a dad and have many pets I am looking for a long term game I can join where I can explore the concepts and complexities of highly magical characters. I find it uncomfortable to play evil characters, and am not a high machiavelian schemer - more of an Explorer and technical builder. I like exploring lore, being technical with overcoming challenges, and creating projects within a setting (preferring to have an upgradable base to work from over being a murder hobo)

Romi (Manchester)

Seeking a book club

Hi! Iโ€™m Romi โ€“ I teach Spanish and English and love all things language, literature, and philosophy. Big fan of short, powerful stories (Hemingway, Carver, Borges). I moved to Manchester three years ago, but with lots of back and forth, Iโ€™m only just settling in โ€” and still donโ€™t know many people here. Would love a literature meet-up or book club!

One of my favourite short stories. I love how it captures so much with so little - the classic iceberg structure. Itโ€™s visually simple but emotionally deep, touching on relationships, youth, and those quiet, defining moments that linger long after you've finished reading.

Yvonne (Manchester)

Seeking a book club

I want an excuse to read a book and share that experience with someone else. We go for meals and go to the cinema them chat after or during that experience. I want to do that with people about books. I'm curious, chatty and want to develop a social life or friendships starting with a book. Ideally, I'm keen to explore the experiences of black people, black women but I'll grow from there.

Chloe (Manchester)

Seeking a book club

Hello! My name is Chloe, I'm 28- I've just spent 6 months living at home after living in London for 4 years and now I'm making the move to Manchester as I just accepted a new job there. This year, I got back into reading and I love it! I've read 32 books so far this year but want to expand the genres I read and would love to connect to like-minded people who also love reading. My current favourite genres would be: thrillers, mythology-based fiction, fantasy and historical fiction but I'm looking to expand this! I would love to join a small, cosy book club in Manchester or in the surrounding areas!

This book is a historical fiction novel based in the Nalibocka forest during World War II and centres on Yona, a woman kidnapped from a German family when she was a toddler and was raised in the forest by an eccentric elderly woman. This was honestly such a nice surprise of a book- it explores themes of love, survival and betrayal.
