I moved to Gloucester a couple of years ago but have no book friends! It would be so fun to meet some other women who love to read smutty romance, fantasy, cosy crime, and the occasional serious fiction. I only recently discovered the world of romance that is KU and would love to make some friends who also indulge! Other than reading/ listening, I love going for walks with my family + our golden retriever, scoring things for my daughter on Vinted, and watching old 90’s movies for the millionth time.

I teach English and would love to discuss books for the students as well as any books for me too! I enjoy crime thrillers, fantasy, murder mystery, historical fiction.......most genres to be fair!

I run a French book club in Stroud. I mostly read fiction and recently started Leila Slimani's The Country of Others, which I cannot put down. Other books/authors I've enjoyed in the past few months: Feral by George Monbiot; Françoise Sagan, Anita Brookner, Bernardine Evaristo, and anything by Claire Keegan.

Book club
We are a friendly and welcoming group based in Stroud. We meet once a month at the Amberley Inn, and it is free to attend. We read -and discuss- books in French, discovering together francophone authors and novels from around the world (mostly modern literature though we will read classics too and maybe even non-fiction!).
