I am a recently retired nhs professional, now with time to rediscover my passion for reading what I want to read and not the mountains off reports, contracts, guidelines etc, that have filled my day!!. Helen (Plymouth)

Seeking a book club

I’m a keen reader who loves books with rich characters and deep storytelling. I’m particularly drawn to authors like Barbara Kingsolver, Anne Tyler, and Bonnie Garmus, who create unforgettable narratives and explore human emotions in such a unique way. I also recently loved The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which was a great mix of historical fiction and fantasy. I 'd like to join a book-club as I’m keen to meet new friends who share my love of reading and enjoy engaging in thoughtful book discussions. I can’t wait to dive into different genres, explore new perspectives, and share recommendations with fellow book lovers!

Helen recommends:
