Seeking a gaming group
I may be a bit unusual in my request as though I have played role play games in the past I am leaning more towards historical gaming and tactical games. Most historical periods other than ancients. Most scales from 2, 6, 10, 12 and 28mm. I am primarily looking for occasional all day games at my house played primarily on the floor for extra terrain or on my 14 by 7ft table. Plenty of time for a chat and sustenance whilst the game moves on. I am able to play weekdays or weekends. I note that most people contributing to this site have ambitions as D&D players but trying something different with a historical / tactical twist or combining gaming styles might be interesting. Why not?

Seeking a book club
I want to join a book club in Exeter or online via Teams / Zoom. I mainly like to read horror, crime, Japanese locked room, historical travel, gothic horror, classic crime and classic horror / ghost books. I am 58 years old and work in the NHS. I don't have many "friends" and am hoping to meet or chat with people who like similar things to me. I also like gaming and walking / visiting NT properties. I live at home with husband and three grown up children!

I'm really into sci fi, murder mystery, ya horror, dark academia, classics, and pretty much any book that can make me cry. Recent books I've loved include The Secret History, Hazelthorn by C.G.Drews, Medea, How to Survive a Horror Movie, and Red Rising.

My genres tend to change every so often but as of now, I am very interested in mysteries, I especially like when enemies or rivals have to work together because one insists on getting involved. Even so, I like fantasy, especially the cosy type, and horror, mostly ghost stories. Also wlw books, I love those but never find many.
